Making wine in Saint Emilion

I was listening to the radio this morning and the question came up as to why some wine ages well and why you can have wines three years in a row from the same vineyard and while some will last others will not

Some of you will know that Avenda and I spent 11 years in France and three of those were learning to make wine with a year at Chateau Beauséjour, Montagne St Emilion with my good friend Pierre Bernault.

2020, Covid and all that

Well a lot has changed since my last post but then it’s been nearly 18 months since my last confession.

When on our travels I find it important to document where we have been and what we have been doing. Less so when we are back home. But the world is going through it’s own journey at a particularly dark time. Of course the darkest time of night is just before the dawn. So, it may be time to add a few words.
